Ouch 2 month needles

                                                   Vaccination Today!

Jax had his first lot of vaccinations today! His two month shots at almost 5 months. Yep we will be behind. One because he was born premature and two because his Cardiologists decided to get his heart operation out of the way first. He went well considering. Naturally he cried with both quick needles into his thighs and I was right there cuddling him straight after and had his bottle ready too.

 I honestly dont know what I think about vaccinations now. 15 years ago when big brother was a baby we didnt have the Rotavirus one. Polio was the one that was given orally. This is a live oral one. The Dr told me not to kiss bub on the lips or I will catch it myself. Not sure how long I can't do this for?

Well his first lot is done. Out of the way. No temperature so far, thankgod and he has spent most of the day sleeping!

Last night Jax and I went out for dinner to our families favourite bistro for Teresa's 43rd birthday! She is Tyson's god mother. Linda (who is going to be Jaxons god mummy) and Julie another friend from high school joined us. Kelly, Jo and Mandy didnt make it the slackers! The meal was delicious as usual. I had sctoch fillet and chips topped with a really nice gravy. After out meal and Ty being passed around for cuddles we wetn and sat on the leather lounges for a few drinks. I was going to have a drink (an ouzo and coke) but in the end I just had soft drink and was happy with that! Linda had offered to drive my car back to our place where her car was but I was relaxed and enjoying myself enough withou having a few spirits. (Saving that for out trip up to the Gold Coast in June).....

It was a good night out.... Jaxon zonked it about half way thru the night. he didnt drink much while we were out so hope he isnt coming down with anything. Today he is making up for it though. He woke up for two feeds between 2am and 7am when he normally sleeps thru.

It was niceto get out. Ty was having a sleepover at bens house but they wouldnt of gottne much sleep. They would of been playing COD on their ps3s most of the night and teaming up together against other players in other parts of the world.....

Jaxon's Godmumma & 16 wks today!

Well after going out for lunch with Jaxon's soon to be Godmother Linda and Jaxon of course we did a quick bit of browesing for some scrapbooking items and such in one of those Variety stores and then came home by 2pm in time for Dissability SA to come visit. Linda left to head off to go to the movies with her Mother and Jax and I sat back and talked to the two ladies (one being his new physio). She seemed quite impressed with his strength in his neck considering he is only 16 wks old today. She didnt say one way or another how his arms are going (he flaps them around all the time but she did say his clench fists is typical of all babies at this age) and well she didnt need to say anything about his legs that well go NON STOP unless he is asleep or concentrating on something! My boy LOVES to kick his legs around and lift them high up into the air.. I have heard that babies and kids particularly with DS can be very flexible. AND he loves to shove his fingers into his mouth..Just one or tries to put his hole fist in there but of course it wont fit!

Upcoming blogs...

I am yet to write my birth story with Jaxon and then his diagnosis and then our time in Melbourne. I am still not ready to do this and time is not permitting at the moment. When I have thought ok it is time to sit down and write Jaxon's birth story something comes up, usually something to do with Jaxon and then that moment is gone! I will write these blogs one day! Here is a photo of my active little peanut and the cute blue Easter Bunny Ears we bought him today! Too cute!! Look how excited he gets!

3 months old....

One week on....

Well Jaxon has had his first week home. Some days he went off to sleep really easily in his basinette during the day time and other days he wouldnt have a bar of it and would either have little short naps in his bouncer or would fight sleep. When he makes up his mind he sticks to it..  Night time both nights he slept like a baby pardon the pun... The rest of the week he has slept pretty well daytime and night time mind you right now he woke up at his last feed and then pooped twice filling two nappies and is now awake and bright as a button in his rocked, but a little stroppy. 

Today we had abit of normality and after Tyson has his much needed haircut we had lunch at Cafe Veloce at Northgate. We shared a nice home made pizza and huge bowl of chips.

 
This was my drink.. Ty had Coke Zero.. I didnt realise it said BOSS until  I had started drinking it. Couldnt resist adding it to facebook and here and then remarking something along the lines of Tyson and all teens think they are the BOSS of their own homes... HEHE
IT WAS NICE TO GET OUT WITH BOTH OF MY BOYS....

HOME SWEET HOME

 Look who is officially discharged and home today from hospital 1 day off 7 weeks since he entered this world. We brought him home for two nights over the weekend but he had to go back into be there for the Cardiologist ward round. Anyhow he shold be out until its his time for his open heart surgery in Melbourne in about a months time...
